Azerbaijan has lifted all restrictions on the transit of cargo to Armenia that had been in place since the period of occupation.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made the announcement during a press statement with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
“I would also like to note that Azerbaijan has lifted all restrictions on the transit of cargo to Armenia that had existed since the time of occupation. The first such transit shipment was the delivery of Kazakh grain to Armenia. I believe this is a clear indicator that peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia is now not only on paper, but also in practice,” the head of state said.
