According to the ministry, following the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, budget expenditures on defense and security were increased by 1.738 billion manats, reaching 8.3963 billion manats.
The primary reason for this increase is the need to respond to the escalating militarization of Armenia.
The ministry also emphasized that the additional spending will be financed through an increase in transfers from the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan by 1.7 billion manats.
