Azerbaijan and EU mark 30 years of partnership in Ganja

The official opening ceremony of the “European Village – 2026” event, dedicated to “30 Years of Partnership between the European Union and Azerbaijan,” was held in Ganja.

Before the ceremony, guests met with the leadership of the Ganja City Executive Authority. The meeting focused on the development of cooperation and partnership between Azerbaijan and the European Union over the past three decades.

Following the meeting, a tree-planting campaign was held in Heydar Aliyev Park with the participation of city officials and diplomats from EU member states.

The official opening of “European Village – 2026” then took place in the city’s main square. Guests toured the exhibition stands prepared for the event and learned about various areas of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union.

The event highlighted the 30-year history of Azerbaijan-EU relations and served as a platform to promote dialogue, cultural exchange and public engagement.
