Armenia’s provocation has been prevented as a result of the Azerbaijani army’s decisive response measures, Caliber.Az reports on September 15.
The Azerbaijani units established control over a number of strategic dominant heights.
Two S-300 5N63 IYR radars and three S-300 5P85 BG launchers belonging to the Armenian Armed Forces were destroyed as part of the operation in the direction of the Goris town and Novruzlu settlement (Kakhnut).
Moreover, two S-125 RTS-125 radars were destroyed in the direction of the Basarkechar district and Ashagi Garanlyg settlement (Martuni).
Numerous soldiers were killed.
The enemy’s air defence system was destroyed in this direction.
Armenia’s one Zhitel electronic warfare vehicle, 14 cannons and howitzers, nine mortars and 32 vehicles, six of which were loaded with ammunition were destroyed.
Three KAMAZ vehicles (one of them with ammunition), one Ural vehicle, one UAZ-3962 and three pieces of military equipment, three mortars, one Igla-S portable anti-aircraft missile system, 135 different assault rifles, machine guns, grenade launchers, 20 boxes of hand grenades, two optical devices, two communications equipment and more than 14,500 pieces of ammunition were captured as trophies.
In total, 53 enemy’s combat positions, two positions for mortar fire, eight strategically important heights were taken under control. The permanent deployment point of the 538th separate mountain rifle brigade stationed in the direction of Zod settlement, as well as the starting positions of two S-300 divisions and two S-125 divisions, were destroyed.
