Within the framework of the First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF-2025) held in Baku, strategic agreements were signed, highlighting the deepening cooperation between Azerbaijan, Italy, and other partners.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) signed a contract with the Italian company MIP S.p.A, a subsidiary of Italiana Petroli S.p.A. The document was signed by SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Chairman of the Board of Italiana Petroli S.p.A, Ugo Brachetti Peretti. The agreement will enable SOCAR to strengthen its position in the European energy market and expand its presence specifically in Italy, which already stands as the largest buyer of Azerbaijani energy resources.
In addition, during the forum, a contract was signed between EelElectric LLC and the Turkish branch of the multinational corporation ABB Group. The agreement, signed by EelElectric Director Vusal Mirzayev and ABB Group Türkiye’s Country Manager Mahmud Rzayev, provides for the installation of modular panel systems to support the development of electrical infrastructure.
