
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met on June 13 with Ben Black, Chief Executive Officer of the US International Development Finance Corporation.
The meeting focused on prospects for expanding multifaceted cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States.
The sides discussed cooperation in energy, transport and transit corridors, high technologies and investment projects. Particular attention was paid to Azerbaijan’s strategic role as a key link between Europe and Central Asia.
Energy security, the development of port and logistics infrastructure, and regional transport initiatives were also among the main topics of discussion.
The sides underlined the importance of the 2025 Washington Summit, which gave new momentum to bilateral relations and created additional opportunities for cooperation in new areas. In this context, they also noted the significance of the Charter on Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States.
The meeting also addressed regional transport initiatives, including the TRIPP project, which is aimed at ensuring unobstructed connectivity between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
