Two drones, reportedly arriving from the direction of Iran, crashed near Nakhchivan Airport today at around 11:00 a.m. Baku time.
According to preliminary reports, one of the unmanned aerial vehicles fell at some distance from the airport, while the second is said to have struck the airport area. The exact circumstances of the incident and the origin of the drones are still being clarified.
Following the incident, teachers and students were evacuated from schools located near the airport as a precautionary safety measure.
At the same time, it has been reported that one flight from Nakhchivan Airport has been canceled.
