In the rapidly evolving modern world, ensuring innovation, economic growth, and societal advancement has become an urgent priority. Achieving these goals requires not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills and competencies that directly address the ever-changing demands of the labor market. To respond effectively to these needs, it is essential to prepare professionals who are well-equipped with both academic knowledge and hands-on experience. In this context, University-Business Cooperation has emerged as a crucial element for bridging the gap between the education system and the practical requirements of the workforce.
This collaboration model brings together the unique strengths of both universities and businesses. Universities contribute to the partnership by offering research, academic expertise, and well-trained graduates, while businesses provide real-world challenges, practical experience, financial support, and employment opportunities. This partnership benefits both sides: universities gain valuable insights into industry needs and trends, helping them keep their curricula relevant, while businesses get access to a skilled workforce ready to meet the demands of the modern economy.
The core aim of University-Business Cooperation is to align education and research with the evolving economic and social needs of society. By integrating academic knowledge with industry demands, this partnership helps bridge the gap between the theoretical and practical realms. Furthermore, it fosters an environment where both sectors can work together to create innovative solutions, address pressing societal challenges, and promote economic growth. Ultimately, this collaboration plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of education, business, and society at large, ensuring that future generations are well-prepared to succeed in an increasingly complex and interconnected world.
The University and business cooperation center was established by BERC&Partners, a business services ecosystem specialized in providing business research, business establishment, business management services, as well as consulting in these areas. It also focuses on developing professionals with the practical skills required by businesses to meet their needs.
The company started its operations in 2018 with a team of 5 people specialized in the field of finance and offered financial, accounting, tax accounting and consulting services to companies, individual entrepreneurs, especially small and medium-sized entrepreneurs. Over time, the range of services and spheres of activity have been expanded in accordance with the company’s strategic vision and turned into a business services ecosystem. BERC&Partners is a business services ecosystem where complex services can be provided to businesses from a platform where experts with rich experience in business management and academic and economic research work together.
Currently BERC&Partners has more than 80 different specialized personnel on a permanent basis and also collaborates with more than 45 freelance experts to implement these services. In order to further enrich the ecosystem, it works together with various specialized partner companies in some areas.
This initiative aims to strengthen the link between academic institutions and businesses, fostering a collaborative environment that benefits both sectors. By creating this platform, the center facilitates the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and resources between universities and businesses, enabling a more seamless integration of theoretical education and practical experience.
Memorandums of understanding have already been signed with several local universities, including the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and Mingachevir State University, among others.
