Currently, Dati serves as the administrative head of the 7th arrondissement of Paris. She succeeds Rima Abdul-Malak, who has held the position of Minister of Culture since May 2022, the channel notes.
A member of the “Republicans” party since 2002, she joined Sarkozy’s team (who was then heading the Ministry of the Interior) as an advisor. After his victory in the presidential election, she served as France’s Minister of Justice from 2007 to 2009. In June 2009, she won her first election to the European Parliament and was successfully re-elected in 2014 for a five-year term.
It is worth noting that Dati is one of the few politicians in France who holds a positive view of Azerbaijan.
