Putin noted the positive development of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan.
“We discussed this during the official visit to Azerbaijan. The trade turnover is $4.3 billion, and our direct investments in the Azerbaijani economy exceed $4 billion. We have numerous promising projects in the fields of energy and infrastructure. These are real and dynamic projects, both bilateral and multilateral,” emphasized the Russian president.
The projects planned between Azerbaijan and Russia require constant attention and oversight, noted President Ilham Aliyev.
“The agenda of bilateral relations is quite extensive, and the projects, especially the new ones we outlined in Baku in August, naturally require our constant attention and control,” said the head of state.
Aliyev stressed that the meeting with Putin is a good opportunity to once again review the agenda and define specific steps for implementing the agreements reached between the two countries.
According to him, the dynamics of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia after Vladimir Putin’s state visit to Baku have been quite noticeable.
“Following your state visit, the dynamics of our bilateral relations have been quite noticeable. There have been numerous contacts at the level of various structures and government members to complement the decisions reached in Baku in August,” noted the head of our state.
