The head of state also highlighted the importance of frequent and regular contacts between the high-ranking representatives of the two countries.
“In the past years, we have also been witnesses to attempts by non-regional forces to interfere in the friendly relations between Iran and Azerbaijan. These attempts were not successful. I am confident that our enemies will not achieve their goals now either. Iran and Azerbaijan will continue to successfully cooperate and strengthen their relationships. I am very pleased that through the joint efforts of representatives from Iran and Azerbaijan, we have agreed on the route for the railway and road strip along the southern bank of the Araz River. I am confident that this project will be implemented in a short period and will become another direction of the ‘North-South’ transport corridor,” the President of Azerbaijan said.
