This is stated in a report published by the authoritative American analytical center Stratfor in their forecasts for 2024.
“Armenia will use its growing political ties with the West and the latter’s military support to counter Baku’s persistent ambitions, but, given the fact that Yerevan has few levers of influence, it is likely to accept the demands put forward by Baku regarding transit through the south of Armenia and border delimitation,” writes the source.
At the same time, bilateral relations and trade ties between Azerbaijan and Russia will reach a new level. The East-West transit in the South Caucasus will continue to be carried out mainly through the territory of Georgia, while Baku will contribute to the development of the North-South infrastructure, connecting Russia with Iran, note the Stratfor analysts.
