The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) had a political meltdown after U.S. President Donald Trump refused to use the term “genocide” in his annual address on April 24.
ANCA Chairman Aram Hamparian called Trump’s decision a “shameful retreat” and claimed that the president “succumbed to Turkish threats and evaded responsibility.” The lobbyist also lamented the “cold attitude of the Republicans,” wistfully recalling how, under the Democrats, Washington eagerly handed out political handouts to Armenia and brandished terms that have no legal weight.
In other words, it’s business as usual at ANCA: if the American president doesn’t agree with the Armenian fake narrative, then he is either weak, a traitor—or both.
