Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mger Grigoryan made this statement to journalists upon arriving at the parliament for a closed meeting with deputies on the issues of delimitation and demarcation.
“Armenia and Azerbaijan can proceed to demarcation when issues related to security, as well as socio-domestic and legal matters for the residents of border areas, are resolved. Until a final decision is reached on these issues, there will be no decision to start negotiations on border delimitation,” he is quoted by Yerevan’s “Sputnik”.
Grigoryan added that many issues are being discussed, there are issues on which perceptions converge, and some do not. He called on everyone to follow the official statements of the parties.
As a reminder, in his written statement distributed to the press by the office of Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev after the meeting with Grigoryan in March, it was indicated that Armenia was proposed to immediately release the 4 occupied villages in the Gazakh region.
