The parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between our countries, international and regional issues, and the situation around Gaza.
Bayramov emphasized the importance of a ceasefire in Gaza, preventing civilian casualties on both sides, and the peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
During the phone conversation, the work required under Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) from 2024-2026 was reviewed.
Bayramov provided detailed information about the current situation and realities in the region in the post-conflict period, including large-scale restoration and construction work on the liberated territories, Azerbaijan’s efforts against the mine threat, and the process of Azerbaijani-Armenian normalization.
It was highlighted that under Azerbaijan’s chairmanship at the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), new opportunities for cooperation between our countries are emerging.
