During his meeting with Senator Saraswathy Kandasami, Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of National Unity, both sides emphasized the growing relationship between the two countries. Muradov highlighted Azerbaijan’s ongoing diaspora policy and the importance of preserving the national identity of Azerbaijanis abroad.
The visit also included a meeting at the Malaysian Institute of Translation & Books, where Noor Amin Ahmad, head of the institute, praised the collaboration between Azerbaijan and Malaysia. A key result of this cooperation was the recent publication of the book The Letter of the Soul, featuring works by Azerbaijani authors.
Muradov’s visit featured discussions on cultural exchange, with meetings held at the Selangor Public Library Corporation and the National Library of Malaysia, where it was agreed that culture plays a vital role in bringing nations closer. Azerbaijani books were presented as a gift to Malaysian universities and libraries, further solidifying cultural and educational ties between the two nations.
Additionally, Muradov gave interviews to major Malaysian media outlets, discussing Azerbaijan’s role in European energy security, the upcoming COP29 summit, and the post-conflict development of Karabakh.
