Gender equality and gender relations in Azerbaijan: Findings from the Men and Gender Equality Survey
This report explores men’s practices and attitudes to gender equality, parenting and caregiving, household relationship dynamics, health (including sexual and reproductive health and rights), and son preference.
The report was developed by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Azerbaijan in cooperation with State Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Family, Women and Children’s Affairs (SCFWCA); International organization “Promundo” and International Center for Social Research (ICSR).

Azerbaijan Country Gender Assessment
The purpose of this assessment is to develop a strategic focus for integrating gender concerns into ADB programs and operations in the Azerbaijan. The assessment covers the following: 1. a review of the status of gender equality and women’s empowerment in the country based on a literature review, key statistics, policy documents, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews; 2. an analysis of the achievements and challenges in mainstreaming gender equality in ADB’s programs and operations and provides conclusions; and 3. recommendations on the way forward to improve gender equality outcomes.
