As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his opening speech at the summit as the chair of the NAM, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that Azerbaijan successfully chaired the NAM for four years during a very challenging period for the international relations system, and undertook effective and institutional measures to enhance efficiency in addressing problems.
Subsequently, the agenda of the 19th NAM Summit was adopted.
According to the summit’s agenda, a video was shown that reflected the successful activities and initiatives of President Ilham Aliyev during his tenure as the chair of the NAM. This was followed by Minister Jeyhun Bayramov’s speech on the outcomes of Azerbaijan’s chairmanship in the Movement.
At the Summit, the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement was transferred from Azerbaijan to Uganda.
