This statement was made by the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations for Europe, Central Asia, and America, Miroslav Jenča, during his address at the UN Security Council meeting on Karabakh.
He noted that dialogue with representatives of the Armenian population in the Karabakh region is the only sustainable way forward for Armenia and Azerbaijan to fully engage in the normalization process.
Miroslav Jenča emphasized that the UN will remain in close contact with the concerned parties and is ready to support ongoing peace efforts as needed.
