If the troops are withdrawn in the absence of a full agreement, who can guarantee that neither side will reclaim these positions? The proposal to withdraw troops is unacceptable for Azerbaijan. Today, the Azerbaijani army is defending the borders of Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani army came to these borders not by someone’s good will or invitation, but liberated its lands after 30 years, shedding blood, and today stands on their borders. Our fundamental approach is that only Azerbaijani soldiers can guard the border of Azerbaijan, and this responsibility cannot be entrusted to a third party. This is Azerbaijan’s sovereign right.
Our advice to Armenia is to pay attention to our constructive proposals. Then, the issues can develop in a positive direction,” he noted.
