According to APA News Agency, the initiative for the talks came from U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who aimed to mediate during the session. However, the Azerbaijani side firmly rejected the proposal.
A diplomatic source explained that the refusal was due to the Biden administration’s unfair and biased policies toward Azerbaijan, making U.S. involvement in the peace agenda unacceptable to Baku.
