“In the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the activities of such organizations are regulated in accordance with national legislation, the principle of reciprocity between countries, and bilateral agreements.
After the Russian side was informed that the Russian Information and Cultural Center (“Russian House”)—a representative office of ‘Rossotrudnichestvo’ in Azerbaijan—was not registered as a legal entity and was in serious violation of Azerbaijani law, a diplomatic note was sent to Russia on February 3, 2025, demanding the cessation of the ‘Russian House’s’ activities.
In light of this decision by the Azerbaijani authorities, it is expected that Russia will take appropriate measures in this regard,” the statement reads.
