Azerbaijan tests new jet-powered ASFAR drone

Azerbaijan’s defence technology company DEFTECH Azerbaijan has carried out the first flight test of its new jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicle, ASFAR.

The company described the successful test as an important step in the development of Azerbaijan’s domestic UAV technologies.

ASFAR was designed and produced by DEFTECH Azerbaijan specialists. According to the company, the new drone combines high speed, advanced engineering solutions and modern aerospace design, marking a transition toward a new generation of unmanned systems.

DEFTECH Azerbaijan is also preparing to bring its DT-001 drones into service. The UAVs are equipped with an F-1500 mobile combat payload system, which is mounted under the wings of the aircraft.
