The sides exchanged views on the forthcoming intergovernmental forums in order to boost reciprocal trade flows, with a view to identifying new providers of inputs and boosting bilateral relations in all segments.

Minister Viorel Gherciu praised the opening of the ambassador for expanding bilateral cooperation and attracting Azerbaijani investments in the economy of the Republic of Moldova.

“In the context of the current situation in the region, including the market for plant protection products and mineral fertilizers, as well as the significant rise in energy and raw material prices, agricultural producers cannot meet the needs of regional and global markets and are unable to provide fertilizer. minerals in our country. In this sense, we are in an intense process of diversifying the import and export markets, in order to support the business environment in overcoming the crisis “, said Gherciu.

For his part, Gudsi Osmanov said “initiating joint events and projects would increase development and reform opportunities for both Moldovan and Azerbaijani companies.”

This February a working meeting was held in Baku between officials of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the bilateral dialogue, to establish the priority directions of Moldovan-Azerbaijani cooperation and to discuss the necessary measures that can boost the bilateral interaction on the dimensions of mutual interest, especially the efficiency of fertilizers in agriculture and their application on soils cultures specific to the Republic of Moldova.
