Hajiyev made these remarks during a visit to Kalbajar with members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan.
In a social media post, Hajiyev highlighted the extensive damage caused by Armenia’s military occupation of Kalbajar and emphasized the progress made since its liberation. He mentioned improvements in infrastructure, as well as new developments such as residential buildings, industrial complexes, and cultural sites initiated under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Additionally, Hajiyev underscored Armenia’s previous misuse of resources such as the Sarsang Reservoir, accusing Armenia of “hydro-terrorism” and intentional deprivation of water supplies. He also spoke of the atrocities committed during the occupation, drawing attention to the destruction of civilian property and cultural heritage, even during the withdrawal of Armenian forces.
Hajiyev expressed frustration at the continued accusations against Azerbaijan from Armenia and its international supporters, labeling them as hypocritical. He concluded by reiterating his belief that “truth and justice may bend, but they will never break.”
