During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on various aspects of the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the United States, as well as on the regional peace process in the post-conflict period.
Bayramov noted that the intensity of contacts between officials of the two countries positively affects the dynamics of the development of relations and emphasized the importance of mutual visits in this regard.
Louis Bono was informed about the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the negotiations being conducted between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the normalization of relations and the peace process, as well as the latest achievements in the peace agenda.
Bayramov emphasized that the recent agreement reached between the delimitation commissions, which includes the return of four Azerbaijani villages that were occupied by Armenia, once again confirmed the usefulness of the bilateral negotiation process in terms of making a real contribution to regional peace and restoring trust.
