According to information from the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the meeting featured an exchange of views on bilateral cooperation issues and the latest negotiations in Berlin between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The sides emphasized the importance of relations between Azerbaijan and Germany and their interest in further developing these relations. The Azerbaijani side also highlighted the inadmissibility of the slanderous campaign against their country conducted within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the European Union, and other platforms.
It was noted that hosting the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change – COP29 in Azerbaijan, as well as the visit of a delegation led by the chairman of the Eastern Committee of the German economy to the country, creates broad opportunities for cooperation.
The counterpart was informed about the prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the latest negotiations, our country’s vision regarding the peace agreement project, and the factors of significant importance for establishing relations and peace with Armenia.
The German side was thanked for its support in organizing meetings to advance the process.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
