Fuad Muradov extended congratulations and good wishes to Mr. Shai on his appointment. He spoke about the strong cooperation and strategic partnership between Israel and Azerbaijan based on mutual trust and emphasized that one of the key reasons for this partnership is the friendly relations between Azerbaijanis and Jews living in Azerbaijan. Quoting President Ilham Aliyev, “We continue to work to build bridges between religions, cultures and countries”, the head of the committee said that traditions of tolerance in Azerbaijan, strong friendship and brotherhood between ethnic and religious communities living in our country, peaceful coexistence of people of different nations and religions are among the priorities of Azerbaijan’s state policy.
Nachman Shai thanked Fuad Muradov and said how pleased he was to see the consideration and religious tolerance towards the Jewish community in Azerbaijan.
Mr. Shai also commended the activities of the Azerbaijani community in Israel and expressed confidence in the lasting friendship between the two peoples.
According to the minister, he intends to visit Azerbaijan, get to know our country better, further deepen cooperation with the State Committee on Work with the Diaspora, and discuss the possibilities of collaboration projects and sharing best practices.
