COP29 president-designate highlights urgency of fully operationalizing the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage

“Building on the achievements of COP27 and COP28, it is essential that we make the Fund for Responding to Loss and Damage fully functional,” Babayev stated during the third meeting of the Fund’s Board held in Baku.
He added, “We must also advance our work on addressing loss and damage, as the impacts of climate change are already being experienced by communities across various nations.”
