The meeting continued over a lunch with the participation of delegations, in an expanded format.
During the meeting, issues of expanding trade and economic ties between Azerbaijan and Croatia were discussed, as well as cooperation in the energy sector, tourism, and other areas. The importance of promptly convening a session of the intergovernmental commission and further development of relations between the business circles of the two countries was emphasized.
Croatia’s intention to support Azerbaijan in the field of mine action was positively received, as Croatia is a country that also suffers from mines. The importance of exchanging experience and cooperation in demining was noted.
The conversation also included an exchange of views on regional issues of mutual interest.
It was also stressed that Croatia, as a member of the European Union and NATO, consistently supports Azerbaijan’s cooperation with these institutions.
