Mr. Muradov recalled that the meeting was a continuation of the fruitful discussion he had had with Davis Harris during his own visit to the USA in November of last year and expressed satisfaction with the progress of cooperation between the Azerbaijani diaspora and Jewish communities of the United States.
Then the Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora told the guests in detail about activities of Azerbaijani diaspora organizations, opportunities of cooperation with Jewish communities in the USA, pointed out that projects for preservation and strengthening of ties of Azerbaijanis residing abroad with their homeland are implemented on a regular basis, and emphasized that experience of the Jewish diaspora is widely used in implementation of these projects.
The delegation was also informed of the provocations committed in recent days by the Armenian armed forces along the state border of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
David Harris thanked his host for the meeting and the information provided. According to him, every time he visits Azerbaijan, he witnesses great tolerance, friendship and brotherhood of all ethnic groups living peacefully together.
The parties also discussed prospects of development of relations between Azerbaijani diaspora organizations and Jewish communities in the USA and other issues of mutual interest.
