One of the main ideologues of the “Russian World,” Aleksandr Dugin, commented on the agreement signed in Washington between Azerbaijan and Armenia, calling the event “a failure of Russian policy in the South Caucasus.”
“The signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington is a failure of Russian policy in the South Caucasus. Russia has lost influence in the region, and those responsible remain unpunished. It is time to acknowledge mistakes and restore the status of a great power,” said philosopher Aleksandr Dugin.
He stressed that this document is a sign of Russia’s weakness:
“This agreement is proof of our powerlessness. We no longer control even the post-Soviet space. If we are not respected here, who will take us seriously on the world stage? This is not just a defeat — it is a slap in the face to every Russian.
We cannot justify ourselves by blaming Pashinyan and Aliyev. We must admit: we lost because we entrusted the negotiations to the wrong people. If we do not perceive this as humiliation, we will cease to be a sovereign civilization.
The guilty must be held accountable. Either we are an Empire capable of defending our interests, or we resign ourselves to disgrace, watching our ‘allies’ betray us. Without justice, we have no future.”
