Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received members of the EU technical assessment team headed by Marcin Wydra.
The parties discussed the work of the EU monitoring mission, completed on December 19. In this context, Mirzoyan praised the role of the monitoring mission in strengthening stability in the region and expressed readiness to continue cooperation.
EU foreign ministers agreed in October 2022 to establish the first civilian mission to address problems on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. They sent up to 40 EU experts to the Armenian side of the border with Azerbaijan to monitor, analyze and report on the situation in the region.
