“Currently, Azerbaijan’s primary agenda is COP29 through the end of November,” he said on the sidelines of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Baku. “Starting in December, a new process will likely begin between Armenia and Azerbaijan regarding discussions and continued negotiations on the peace treaty text.”
According to Hajiyev, there are specific issues within the document’s text. “Therefore, expert-level discussions and negotiations are ongoing,” added the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan. “The Armenian side did not respond to our proposals on the peace treaty text in a timely manner, which has led to delays in this context. Starting in December, a new process will likely begin.”
