This was stated by the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Foreign Policy of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, in an interview with Reuters.
“We are considering the possibility of amnesty even for former military personnel and militants,” said Hajiyev, adding that there are currently separate groups and officers who have publicly stated that they will not accept the proposed conditions and will continue to resist.
Hajiyev also noted that Armenian residents of Karabakh have requested humanitarian assistance, and on Friday, three food shipments were sent to the region.
Azerbaijan is striving for the peaceful reintegration of Armenians in Karabakh, emphasized the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan.
