According to the Constitution of Azerbaijan, the Constitutional Court must confirm the election results, after which the inauguration of the President will take place within 3 days. It is worth noting that since 2013, the inauguration of the head of the Azerbaijani state has been held in the Milli Majlis (National Assembly).
It is from this day that I. Aliyev will officially resume his duties.
On the day of I. Aliyev’s assumption of office, the Cabinet of Ministers will resign. The candidate for Prime Minister will be presented to the country’s parliament by the President.
According to the Constitution of Azerbaijan, the candidate for Prime Minister will be presented no later than two weeks after I. Aliyev’s inauguration.
