Deputy PM for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul-Ghani met Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov on Saturday, affirming cooperation in energy project development.
The Iraqi News Agency — INA reporter said, “Abdul-Ghani met Shahbazov on the sidelines of his participation in the Istanbul Natural Resources Summit.”
He noted that “the meeting witnessed an emphasis on paving the way for the historical relations between the two countries to develop cooperation in the energy sector.”
The two sides exchanged views on the current status of the oil market settlement within the OPEC+ formula.
They discussed “the importance of signing a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the oil and gas sectors between the Azerbaijani and Iraqi ministries of energy.”
