“France is getting weaker, it is losing influence even in French-speaking countries,” Jean-Victor Castor, Member of the French National Assembly from French Guiana, said at a press conference following the roundtable on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Coordination Bureau at the Center of Analysis of International Relations in Baku.
He talked about the riots in France.
The MP said that this extent of the situation was expected: “This is a fourth generation to suffer from the policies of the French government. We are French citizens, but we are also victims of French policies. If you express an opinion against police brutality, President Macron will deny it, but the facts are there. What happened was the last straw. The victims of this violence are not the real French. This violence has now become systematic. Macron’s policies are unacceptable to the French people,” APA quoted Castor as saying.
