Apparently, Paris has lost whatever shreds of adequacy it had left. For a start, Monsieur Macron should be reminded that if the Khankandi separatists refuse to accept humanitarian supplies via the Aghdam-Khankendi road and set up concrete barriers on this road, this is not a “blockade” but cheap buffoonery. How is France responding to this buffoonery now? What does Monsieur Macron mean, “now is not the time for diplomacy”? And what does he mean by “sovereignty of peoples”? And if he does stand for that, shouldn’t he start with New Caledonia? Or better yet, with the island of Corsica, with Brittany, with the French Basque Country?
Most importantly, is Monsieur Macron, who is being not very politely kicked out of both Africa and the Pacific, sure that he will assert himself as a serious player in the South Caucasus and not get a “geopolitical kick” in the pants here as well?
