In a statement to X, he conveyed his disappointment.
“It deeply disappoints me that PACE has chosen not to validate the credentials of the members of the National Delegation from Azerbaijan. This action undeniably strikes a severe blow to the rights of Europe’s people for equal and democratic representation and tarnishes PACE’s reputation,” he remarked.
Cavusoglu further emphasized, “I maintain hope that this decision, which overlooks the foundational principles of cooperation and dialogue within the Council of Europe and fails to contribute to peace and stability in the region, will be overturned. It’s imperative for PACE to rectify this error promptly.”
