Recall that at the end of September, the prosecutor’s office accused Menendez and his wife, ethnic Armenian Nadine Arslanyan, of corruption “in connection with their corrupt relationships with three businessmen from New Jersey.”
As reported by Foxnews, this time Menendez is accused of receiving a bribe from the government of Egypt as a foreign agent, amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The accusation states that, among other things, Menendez provided confidential information and took other illegal actions while secretly supporting the government of Egypt.
It should be noted that Menendez, at the request of the government of Armenia and the Armenian diaspora in the USA, has repeatedly initiated anti-Azerbaijani hearings in Congress, calling for sanctions against the government of Azerbaijan. Official Baku accused the senator of conducting a secret deal with the Armenian diaspora and carrying out a political order for monetary rewards.
