On Wednesday evening, revanchists gathered at Republic Square in Yerevan and burned the flags of Azerbaijan and Turkey during a march.
The procession was held to mark the anniversary of the so-called “Armenian genocide in the Ottoman Empire.”
Meanwhile, on April 23, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during a meeting with Theodoros Roussopoulos, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), spoke about a peace agreement with Azerbaijan. He emphasized Armenia’s commitment to a peaceful agenda and its readiness to sign the agreement.
Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also met with Theodoros Roussopoulos and “presented the latest developments in the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” highlighting that the signing of an agreement between the two countries would be a major milestone in achieving peace in the region.
