Armenia is ready to provide Azerbaijan with access to its railway infrastructure for cargo transportation to Nakhchivan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced at a press conference.
“We have proposed that railway freight transportation from Western Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan and back be conducted through Armenian territory, specifically via Meghri… We will start with cargo transportation, and when the atmosphere becomes more favorable, we will consider passenger transportation as well. We have made this proposal and are awaiting a positive response,” Pashinyan stated.
He emphasized that “cargo transportation must remain within the jurisdiction of our country.”
