“There cannot be a state within a state in Armenia, nor can there be a government in exile. Having staged a coup in Karabakh and consequently devastating it, the same adventurers are attempting to establish a government in exile in Armenia, which poses a direct threat to national security,” said Taron Chakoyan.
The day before, Nikol Pashinyan stated that some circles from Karabakh were taking steps threatening Armenia’s national security.
This was his reaction to the words of the leader of Karabakh separatists, Samvel Shahramanyan, in an interview with Le Figaro, stating that an “exiled Karabakh government” continues to operate in Yerevan.
