Alongside facilitating the participation of national delegations in the conference’s Blue Zone, the Green Zone at COP29 has been declared open for applications. Organizations can now submit expressions of interest to participate in the Green Zone, providing them with opportunities for collaboration, sponsorship, and exhibitions at COP29.
Managed by the COP29 Presidency, the Green Zone aims to enhance the experience of visitors to the world’s most important climate conference and foster dialogue on climate change. It will serve as a collaborative platform for organizations committed to combating climate change, enabling them to share experiences, innovative ideas, and solutions with global stakeholders. The Green Zone will also facilitate collaboration between state and non-state actors, uniting state actors and the private sector, governments, authorized UN bodies, intergovernmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, academia, artists, and civil society around shared climate goals.
This November, the Green Zone will be transformed into a dynamic hub focused on developing global climate action initiatives and promoting real solutions to climate change. The zone will feature interactive exhibitions, conferences, seminars, panel discussions, creative art installations, cultural events, and performances. Conveniently located near the Blue Zone around Baku Stadium, the Green Zone is designed to provide accessible and inclusive conditions for all participants to collaborate. It will be open to a broad section of society interested in addressing climate change and its impacts on communities.
The online platform www.cop29greenzone.com has been launched to manage the Green Zone efficiently, offering stakeholders valuable opportunities to contribute to climate action. Organizations can easily access information about various proposals for collaboration and participation in the conference via the portal. The portal provides all relevant details for potential partners, including information about the pavilions in the Green Zone, exhibition formats, and the COP29 Presidency’s climate action initiatives. It also helps allocate exhibition space to meet organizations’ different technical requirements and showcase innovative approaches and technologies.
Interested parties can submit their official applications for representation in the Green Zone via the platform. Applications are open until July 10, 2024. Participants may address any queries about the Green Zone to GreenZoneSales@dmgeventsglobal.com.
