On May 18, 2024, President Aliyev visited the Jabrayil district, where he laid the foundation stone for the village of Boyuk Marjanli. The village, located in the Araz Valley, is planned to be developed on an area of 362 hectares and designed to accommodate 6,230 people. The project includes the construction of residential buildings, administrative facilities, sports and health centers, schools, and kindergartens.
On the same day, President Aliyev laid the foundation stone for the new settlement of Minjivan in the Zangilan district. The settlement, situated on the bank of the Araz River, is planned to accommodate 9,088 people. The development will feature residential buildings, cultural and administrative facilities, sports centers, schools, and kindergartens.
President Aliyev and the First Lady also participated in the opening of the Aghali Hotel in the village of Aghali in the Zangilan district. The hotel, located on the shore of an artificial lake created by the Hakari River, includes restaurants, a conference hall, a fitness center, and other amenities.
As part of the program to create a green energy zone in the liberated territories, the Zangilan and Shayifli hydroelectric power plants were inaugurated. These plants will produce environmentally friendly energy and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
President Aliyev additionally laid the foundation stone for the development of the road and communication infrastructure of the city of Zangilan, marking an important step in the restoration and modernization of the liberated territories.
These activities demonstrate the government’s active efforts to restore the liberated areas and create modern infrastructure facilities aimed at improving the living conditions of the local population and the economic development of the regions.
