President Ilham Aliyev stated that using human rights as a pretext for attempting to interfere in Azerbaijan’s internal affairs is completely unacceptable.
This was reported in response to a query by AZERTAC from the President’s Press Service.
It was noted that during the phone conversation, the head of our state also emphasized: “We do not accept biased statements based on double standards by some Western countries regarding this issue (human rights).”
President Ilham Aliyev reminded Antony Blinken about the arrest of opposition representatives in Armenia, even cases of deaths during detention, and violations of human rights, and noted in this context that the silence of Western countries is incomprehensible, highlighting such facts as a clear example of double standards.
