“Please accept my warmest congratulations on behalf of the people and the State of Israel. The bonds between the Jewish and Azerbaijani peoples go back centuries and millennia. For such a long time, Azerbaijan has been a symbol of tolerance, diversity, equality, and a testament to the possibility of coexistence, respect, and cooperation among people and nations of different cultures,” Herzog said.
He also highlighted the significant role of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in strengthening bilateral relations with Israel.
“We had the honor of witnessing first-hand the substantial growth that President Aliyev has brought to his country, and of discussing together the opportunities for further development and expansion of our cooperation. I congratulate my dear friend, President Ilham Aliyev, and wish to express my strong confidence in the continued development of Azerbaijan and the deepening of the ties between our two nations,” Herzog emphasized.
According to him, “Today, Azerbaijan has become an important crossroads for regional and diplomatic dialogue.”
