In Baku, a meeting took place between Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, and Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan for Foreign Policy. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, a candid exchange of views took place on international and regional issues of mutual interest. Special attention was given to the Middle East, particularly the evolving military-political situation in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone and southern Lebanon.
The statement also emphasized the commitment of both Moscow and Baku to continue close foreign policy coordination, both bilaterally and in various international forums.
