“Unfortunately, most Karabakh Armenians have left the region. It was their difficult but voluntary choice. In this regard, it is important to create conditions for the return of those who wish to do so, ensuring their rights and security,” Galuzin said.
According to the deputy minister, Russia is ready to “provide all possible support to this process, including through the Russian peacekeeping contingent.”
Galuzin reminded that Armenia recognized the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, including Karabakh as part of it, at the summit under the auspices of the EU in October 2022 in Prague. “Now, Karabakh is being integrated into the legal framework of Azerbaijan,” the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia stated.
